Job Description:
This role is responsible for configuring, administering, and optimizing EHS systems at Wegmans, ensuring data integrity, reliable integrations, and continuous improvement. The role partners closely with customers to define requirements, design effective business solutions, and troubleshoot complex system issues while serving as a liaison across operations, IT, vendors, and EHS teams. By maintaining and enhancing all EHS system modules, this role directly supports regulatory compliance, incident prevention, employee safety, and business performance.
What You'll Do
  • Act as the subject matter expert for all EHS systems, including owning system configuration, integrations, and sustainable processes across all modules
  • Create and maintain comprehensive system documentation, including configurations, workflows, job aids, test scripts, and change records
  • Provide leadership during critical system incidents, including impact assessment, mitigation, and coordination with IT and vendors
  • Drive system optimization, continuous improvement, EHS compliance, and user adoption through workflow and configuration enhancements
  • Execute strong vendor management through clear communication, collaboration, performance monitoring, and escalation
  • Perform complex system administration and project tasks while meeting defined timelines and deadlines
  • Convert complex business requirements into clear technical specifications and solutions
  • Manage system enhancement projects using the EHS Management of Change process from design through deployment and training
  • Provide subject matter expertise for pilots, new systems, testing, troubleshooting, and regulatory-driven system changes
  • Create complex and custom reports, and coach other system administrators on analysis, testing, and implementation
  • Stay active in training and knowledge sharing opportunities to remain current on supported systems, processes, and best practices
  • Support EHS Operational Excellence solutions development by testing enhancements and providing actionable user feedback to improve tools and workflows

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Business Administration, Environmental Health & Safety, Computer Science, or a related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 5+ years of experience administering, configuring, and supporting enterprise software applications
  • Experience gathering business requirements and translating them into technical solutions
  • Experience troubleshooting and resolving complex system and process issues
  • Strong analytical, project coordination, and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively with business partners, IT teams, and manage external vendors
  • Ability to analyze trends and provide actionable insights
  • Experience with Power BI, data visualization, reporting tools, or SQL

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with Velocity EHS software or other EHS Compliance Systems
  • Knowledge of workplace safety, environmental compliance, risk management, or regulatory reporting processes
  • Experience with Agile project methodologies and continuous improvement practices
