The ACCOUNTS RECEIVABLE ASSOCIATE provides a variety of accounting tasks as well as serving as a resource to the CFO. Activities include general Accounts Receivable/Accounts Payable functions such as daily receipts, general ledger and journal entries, month-end closing activities, bank reconciliations, customer and vendor communications, preparation of financial reports, and sales tax activities.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Accounts Receivable activities, including daily deposits, collections, customer statements, and customer invoicing.
  • Customer management: Set up new customers in ERP system; complete credit checks and maintain customer sales tax files, research payment status, process credit card payments, and monitor credit limits.
  • Oversee all sales and use tax activities, including filing, paying, and recording necessary monthly taxes, and coordination with customers and state agencies.
  • Support month-end close activities including account analysis and other accounting projects as assigned by CFO.
  • Prepare monthly bank reconciliations.
  • Provide backup for Accounts Payable functions, ensuring continuity during absences or peak workload periods.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Associate's degree in Accounting or job experience equivalent.
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in a similar accounting role.
  • Experience using sales tax software such as Avalara (or comparable system) helpful.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and Outlook. Must have advanced Excel skills.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems and accounting process documentation. Experience with Acumatica software a plus.
