Job Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Receivable Bookkeeper to support daily accounting operations for a busy organization in Staatsburg, NY. This role focuses primarily on accounts receivable, accounts payable, reconciliations, and financial recordkeeping, while also providing occasional administrative support.
The ideal candidate is organized, accurate, and comfortable managing multiple accounting responsibilities in a fast-paced office environment.
Bookkeeper Responsibilities:
Accounts Receivable & Accounting
  • Generate and process customer invoices and payments
  • Monitor outstanding balances and follow up on overdue accounts
  • Record deposits, cash receipts, and revenue transactions
  • Assist with account reconciliations and financial reporting
  • Maintain accurate customer and accounting records
  • Support month-end, quarterly, and year-end accounting activities
Accounts Payable & Financial Operations
  • Review invoices and payment requests for accuracy and approval
  • Process vendor payments and assist with scheduled payment runs
  • Maintain records of banking transactions, transfers, and ACH activity
  • Prepare bank deposits and supporting documentation
  • Reconcile assigned accounts and support financial audits
  • Assist with expense tracking and purchasing-related documentation
Administrative Support
