Accounts Receivable Specialist, Full-Time, Permanent

Location: Bloomfield, CT | FULLY Onsite

Compensation: $25–$29/hour + bonus Potential

A busy and growing service company in Bloomfield is seeking an experienced Accounts Receivable Specialist to join its accounting team. This is a hands-on role for someone who is comfortable managing collections, posting customer payments, and keeping accounts receivable activity accurate and up to date.


  • Manage daily accounts receivable activities, including cash posting and payment application
  • Handle customer collections and follow up on outstanding balances (commercial mostly)
  • Research and resolve account discrepancies and payment issues
  • Maintain accurate customer account records
  • Communicate with customers regarding invoices, balances, and payment status
  • Assist with reconciliations and other accounting-related tasks as needed
  • Support the accounting team in a fast-paced, high-volume service environment

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of hands-on Accounts Receivable experience
  • Strong collections and cash application/posting experience
  • Comfortable working independently in a busy environment
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Excellent communication and follow-up abilities
  • QuickBooks experience preferred, but not required
