The Opportunity


This is a field-based, commission-only role designed for sales professionals who thrive on ownership, flexibility, and uncapped earning potential. Each BDR is assigned a defined territory and an established book of business โ€” you are not starting from scratch. Brightline has existing client relationships, completed project portfolios, and a proven track record in each market. Your job is to activate, expand, and accelerate that revenue base.

Business Development(100% Commission role)

  • Proactively prospect for new residential and commercial painting opportunities within your market
  • Conduct site visits, needs assessments, and project consultations with prospective clients
  • Present proposals, negotiate project scope and pricing, and close contracts
  • Reactivate dormant accounts within the existing book of business
  • Build referral pipelines through property managers, real estate agents, HOAs, general contractors, and facility managers

Client Relationship Management

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for new clients through the sales and onboarding phase
  • Coordinate handoff to operations/production teams upon contract signing
  • Maintain client relationships post-project to drive repeat business and referrals
  • Consistently update CRM with pipeline activity, notes, and forecasts

Market Coverage

  • Drive consistent sales activity (calls, visits, proposals) sufficient to meet revenue objectives
  • Attend local networking events, trade association meetings, and community business groups as appropriate
  • Stay current on local constructi


Requirements:

QUALIFICATIONS

Required

  • 2+ years of outside sales, business development, or account management experience
  • Proven ability to prospect, qualify, and close โ€” not just manage existing accounts
  • Strong verbal communication and in-person presentation skills
  • Self-disciplined, organized, and capable of managing a full sales pipeline independently
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for in-market travel
  • Comfortable working in a commission-only environment with income tied to performance

Preferred

  • Prior experience selling home services, construction, or painting/coatings products
  • Existing relationships with property managers, HOAs, general contractors, or commercial facility decision-makers in one or more of the target markets
  • Familiarity with CRM tools (especially Monday.com) and basic proposal/estimating workflows
  • Experience working in a fractional or independent contractor sales capacity
