Job description

Summary / Objective
The Corporate Accountant assists the CFO by acting as a resource to the general accounting department and other departments within the Company. The position assists in safeguarding assets and ensuring the integrity of the corporate balance sheet. The position will reconcile and review selected balance sheet accounts to provide accurate and timely financial information.
Essential Functions
  • Maintain the Fixed Asset and associated depreciation schedules on Microsoft Dynamics GP; prepare monthly detail for General Journal entries; insure proper recording of new purchases and disposals
  • Reconciliation of Corporate Cash and Credit Card accounts; Credit Card Disputes & Chargeback's
  • Asset and Liability Reconciliations including:
    Pre-Paid Expenses
    Deposits
    Goodwill and Intangibles
    Receivable Accounts
    Other Current and Non-current Assets
    Other Current and Non-current Liabilities

  • Assist in the Period-End Close process (monthly, periodic, quarterly, year-end); Make monthly and periodic journal entries as required
  • G&A review and analysis (periodic and quarterly)

  • Process and record Daily Bank Transfer; ReconNet Bank Reconciliation Software
  • Process and report Annual Property Tax Returns & Billings; Insure proper calculations per states as they apply
  • Maintain record of all Bank Accounts, Signature Cards, and Agreements
  • Assist in preparation of Annual Audit
  • Perform such other Accounting , Financial, or Administrative tasks as may be required from time to time - quite often on short notice - by the CFO

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
  • 3-8 years of corporate accounting experience
  • Solid experience reconciling balance sheet accounts
    Competencies
  • Strong computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Excel & Office; Microsoft Dynamics is a plus
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; Strong interpersonal skills
  • The ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects
  • Attention to detail

Work Environment
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, fax machines, and scanners.
Position Type / Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday,
8:00 a.m. to 5 p.m. unless flex schedule is requested per Company standard.
Salary Pay Scale
The salary range for this position is $60,000.00 - $65,000.00 depending on experience.
