Job description

Summary:
Fior di Sole is seeking an experienced, driven Export Sales Manager to lead and grow our international wine sales business. This is a senior role responsible for building and executing our global export strategy - opening new markets, deepening distributor partnerships, and building long-term brand equity in the export market.
The Export Sales Manager will own the full commercial relationship with our international distributor and importer network, develop new market opportunities, and serve as the primary brand ambassador for Fior di Sole beyond U.S. borders. This role requires a commercially minded wine professional who thrives in a proactive fast-paced environment, is comfortable working across cultures and time zones, and can translate market insights into tangible revenue growth.

Classification: Full-time, Exempt
Compensation: $120,000 - $150,000 annually
You Will:
  • Own and grow export sales across global markets, identifying and prioritizing high-potential regions and channels to continuously expand Fior di Sole's international footprint
  • Develop and execute strategic market plans with volume, revenue, and distribution targets for each territory
  • Identify and prioritize new market opportunities; lead entry-to-market planning and partner selection for expansion into new countries and regions
  • Manage and continuously strengthen partnerships with distributors, importers, and agents; conduct regular business reviews and hold partners accountable to agreed goals
  • Oversee pricing strategy, programming, and promotional activity to ensure market competitiveness and margin integrity
  • Lead launches of new products across international markets, including private label development where applicable
  • Develop and manage sales within travel retail channels (cruise lines, airlines, and duty-free operators) as part of the broader international channel mix
  • Represent Fior di Sole at international trade shows, wine fairs, distributor/importer sales meetings, and key account presentations
  • Conduct in-market visits and trade tastings to reinforce brand positioning
  • Collaborate with marketing to develop market-specific materials, digital assets, and campaign support
  • Monitor competitive activity, consumer trends, and regulatory developments across key markets; translate findings into actionable recommendations
  • Manage export logistics coordination with operations, including forecasting, inventory planning, shipment scheduling, and order accuracy
  • Ensure full compliance with import/export regulations, international labeling requirements, and documentation for all markets
  • Manage the export sales budget; track and report on performance against financial targets regularly
  • Maintain accurate customer records, account activity logs, market data, and pipeline reporting
  • Work cross-functionally with finance, marketing, and operations to ensure seamless execution of international business

You Have:
  • 5+ years of export or international sales experience, preferably within the wine industry
  • Strong understanding of global wine markets and distribution channels
  • Experience working with distributors or importers preferred
  • Ability to support sales growth initiatives and manage multiple markets
  • Strong communication and organizational skills; ability to work across time zones
  • Willingness to travel internationally as needed
  • Strong relationship-building skills and team-oriented mindset
  • Valid driver's license and ability to be ensured through the company
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends for events
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
