SUMMARY

The Export Sales Manager is responsible for developing and managing international sales strategies to expand the company’s global presence. This role involves identifying new markets, maintaining relationships with international clients and distributors, ensuring compliance with export regulations, and achieving revenue targets across assigned regions.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop and implement export sales strategies to achieve international revenue goals
  • Identify and evaluate new market opportunities and expand the company’s global footprint
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with international clients, distributors, and partners
  • Manage the full export sales cycle, including prospecting, negotiation, and closing deals
  • Coordinate with warehouse, finance, and compliance teams to ensure smooth order fulfillment
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and customer needs in target regions
  • Ensure compliance with international trade laws, export regulations, and documentation requirements
  • Represent the company at international trade shows, exhibitions, and business meetings
  • Prepare sales forecasts, reports, and market analyses for senior leadership
  • Handle pricing strategies, contract negotiations, and terms of agreements with international clients
  • Resolve customer issues and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction
  • Promote good employee relations and high morale
  • Demonstrate teamwork and respect by working constructively with co-workers to achieve the best results possible
  • All other duties assigned by the supervisor or department manager

LEADERSHIP/SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • No supervisory responsibilities
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, or marketing preferred
  • Five+ years of experience in export sales, international business or similar role
  • Strong knowledge of international trade regulations, customs procedures, and shipping processes
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets in international markets
  • Excellent negotiation, communication and relationship-building skills
  • Ability to work across cultures and manage global client relationships
  • Ability to frequently travel internationally and work across multiple time zones
