Job description

Employment Type: Hourly
Work Arrangement: Remote 

Position Summary:

Customer facing role specializing in international trade regulation compliance supporting growth of Ventura Foods' export business to include tasks related to commercialization process, fulfilling export documentation requests, and on-boarding new customers' business. The export team sales specialist ensures Ventura Food's shipments comply with trade laws, and government regulations.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Ensuring customer shipments receive necessary company & governmental documentation to clear customs with minimal delays.  Support sales team with documents to expedite governmental approvals of new item launches in other countries.  Lead Sales Project Commercialization System (PCS) process for export team, providing updates on timelines and work with internal teams to accelerate the export commercialization process. 
  • Support customer requests related to new item set-ups requiring documents for label updates, formula changes, import tariffs, technical data sheets,&  information requested of internal teams(Operations, QA, R&D, marketing, regulatory, & project management team).
  • Support sales team reporting requests providing sales reports on export regions, customers, & products utilizing AS400, Microstrategy, JDE, exce, and other Ventura Foods data tools.
  • Lead project update meetings & trackers to review status of projects and support needed to ensure timely delivery of solutions for export customers.  Includes gathering pre meeting details for each project & providing post meeting follow-ups and next steps. 
  • Additional responsibilities as assigned.
Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  •  5+ years experience working in sales, supply shain, Project Management, export business, or customer service capacity, (preferably in food service/ retail foodservice industry)
  • Fluent in English and Spanish, a plus!
Knowledge and Skills:
  • Export business compliance & documentation requirements "Critical thinking path" capability required.
  • Project management skills & Analytical problem solving.
  • Aptitude for investigation, research and resolution.
  • Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, & Power Point required.
  • Ability to utilize programs (AS400, Data Tracker, BI, JDE, Legacy, SharePoint) to assist in tracking and monitoring required.
  • Strong organizational and decision making skills to meet deadlines and achieve successful results.
  • Must have strong communication skills both written and oral.
