Job description

RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS:
  • Exhibit a professional and efficient level of customer service to all customers, prospects as well as inside/outside providers to include traffic/logistic managers and outside cold storage warehouses.
  • Understand export trading regulations through the FSIS Library and knowledge of regularly used international terms.
  • Implement weekly freezer shipments for customer deliveries.
  • Manage product age to optimize return on product.
  • Working with shipping to ensure orderly shipment is priority to ensure delivery on time.
  • Provide product codes as needed.
  • Understand market prices and sales with the highest net returns in international markets.
  • Manage sales and utilize the best logistical scenarios regarding cost.
  • Understand and manage freight costs on a per lb. basis.
  • Assist Export Sales Manager and Director of Sales with current market trends and analytics.
  • Manage orders with customers and cold storges to ensure weekly product movement.
  • Coordinate export documentation needs and country specific labels.
  • Communicate production needs, changes and quality issues with sales manager and staff.
  • Some data entry for orders related to export sales mix.
  • Reconcile daily freezer inventories for export product mix.
  • Organize weekly freezer shipments for customer pickups.
  • Send out samples upon customer request.

REQUIREMENTS:
  • At least 18 years of age.
  • Some college level courses are required.
  • Prefer a bachelor's degree or similar experience.
  • Computer skills including MS Office, Word, Excel & PowerPoint.
  • Understand and utilize company software to include Aeros.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask and work quickly.
  • The ability to work with employees at all levels of the organization.
  • Detail-oriented, structured, and able to communicate effectively.
  • Must possess demonstrated ability to work within timelines and in pressured situations.
  • Strong problem solving, negotiating, and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent follow-through on assigned tasks required for this position.
  • Must be able to handle multiple and sometimes conflicting priorities.
  • Ability to interact effectively with customers, sales staff, QA managers, R&D staff, etc.
  • Compassionate to customers' needs.
  • Strong understanding of basic math.
  • May require out-of-town travel and overnight trips occasionally.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Work activity is primarily in an office environment but will require occasional visits to production facility or farm location.
  • Occasionally work around raw products and associated animal odors.
  • Ability to travel to Case Farms complex locations as needed.
