Job description

Position Objective
This role is responsible for generating sales for JDC product lines including rentals, service, and parts, and requires an experienced electric utility sales professional who can immediately contribute to business development and customer growth.
Job Responsibilities
โ€ข Schedule appointments and visit new and existing customers to review account status, product needs, and identify new opportunities
โ€ข Develop new business through marketing research, cold calling, and identifying contractor and end-user activity
โ€ข Promote parts, service, maintenance, rebuilds, and product quotes as required
โ€ข Generate business development opportunities within the Electric Utility sector and additional business lines as directed
โ€ข Provide proactive solutions to customer needs and continuously communicate product changes or updates
โ€ข Attend trade shows, conferences, product demonstrations, and introductions as directed
โ€ข Maintain knowledge of assigned suppliers and product lines and use this knowledge to support customer needs
โ€ข Actively grow parts, service, and rental revenue within the assigned territory
โ€ข Serve as a liaison between customers and the company regarding service status, pricing, and new product releases
โ€ข Maintain accurate customer information in CRM and use CRM to document activity and market opportunities
โ€ข Stay current on company services, procedures, and tools through training and team meetings
โ€ข Provide field insights on competitive pricing, trends, and general market conditions
โ€ข Meet or exceed performance objectives to support profitability and long-term growth
โ€ข Assist with identifying and selling obsolete or overstock inventory
โ€ข Forecast product sales and follow all company policies, including required approval processes
โ€ข Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
โ€ข Experience in a heavy equipment or truck dealership environment and experience in electric utility sales are required
โ€ข Proven track record of successful commercial sales
โ€ข Ability to plan, prioritize, organize, and motivate to achieve goals
โ€ข Experience working in a high-performance environment with strong teamwork and professionalism
โ€ข Strong customer focus with excellent relationship-building and problem-solving skills
โ€ข Ability to resolve conflicts, think critically, and exercise sound judgment
Travel
โ€ข gt; 20% of time. Travel as required by business needs determined by both parties
