Description We are seeking an
Ocean Export Clerk to support logistics operations and help coordinate ocean export shipments with accuracy, professionalism, and timely communication. This role serves as a key point of contact between customers, internal departments, sales, operations teams, overseas partners, and vendors.
The ideal candidate will bring strong customer service skills, attention to detail, and prior experience in logistics operations, import/export coordination, or freight forwarding support.
Key Responsibilities- Serve as a primary point of contact for customers, internal teams, vendors, partners, and overseas agents.
- Answer phone calls professionally and in a timely manner.
- Respond to customer and internal email requests promptly.
- Coordinate ocean export freight shipments and related export documentation.
- Track and trace ocean import/export shipments.
- Coordinate third-country shipment moves with overseas offices and agents.
- Update customer-specific tracking and accounting reports.
- Dispatch shipments and communicate shipment details clearly.
- Ensure dispatch teams are aware of special instructions, shipment deadlines, and cut-off times.
- Book ocean shipments as required.
- Support invoicing for export and country-to-country shipments.
- Maintain accurate shipment information and follow internal policies and procedures.
- Provide quality customer service while supporting operational efficiency.
Requirements- Minimum 1 year of relevant experience in logistics operations.
- Previous import/export experience preferred.
- Experience with ocean freight, export documentation, shipment tracking, or freight forwarding support is highly preferred.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to respond to emails and phone inquiries in a professional and timely manner.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple shipment-related tasks.
- Ability to work effectively with customers, vendors, internal teams, and overseas partners.
- Ability to follow company policies, procedures, and operational guidelines.
