Export Operations Coordinator (Temp to Hire)

Location: Hawthorne, CA 90250
Pay Rate: $23.00 per hour
Assignment Type: Temp to Hire
Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM

Join a Global Logistics Team

We are seeking a detail-oriented Export Operations Coordinator to support a fast-paced international logistics operation specializing in temperature-sensitive shipments. This is an excellent opportunity for candidates with import/export, freight forwarding, or air cargo experience who are looking to grow their career in pharmaceutical and cold chain logistics.

The first several weeks of employment will focus on learning specialized packaging processes and temperature-controlled shipping procedures that are essential to the success of the operation.

 

What You'll Do

As an Export Operations Coordinator, you will play a critical role in ensuring shipments are processed accurately, safely, and on schedule.

 

Responsibilities

  • Process export shipments from preparation through dispatch.
  • Prepare and verify shipping documentation, including Master Air Waybills.
  • Coordinate shipment bookings with airlines and transportation providers.
  • File required export documentation, including Shipper's Export Declarations (SED), when applicable.
  • Review shipment paperwork for completeness and accuracy.
  • Monitor shipment status and ensure all required approvals are received before export.
  • Coordinate with warehouse staff, drivers, and operations teams to maintain efficient pickup and delivery schedules.
  • Monitor inventory levels of specialized packaging materials and temperature-control supplies.
  • Ensure gel packs and temperature-sensitive packaging materials are properly conditioned and stored.
  • Maintain cold chain integrity for temperature-sensitive shipments, including FDA hold shipments.
  • Monitor shipment manifests, flight schedules, dispatch activity, and shipment tracking systems.
  • Assist with replenishment of export shipments within the gateway facility.
  • Monitor live animal shipments to ensure proper handling and care when applicable.
  • Answer incoming calls and provide operational support to drivers and internal teams.
  • Escalate operational issues and customer concerns promptly to management.

 

Qualifications
