The Role The part-time position of Event Assistant helps with event operations for all Athletics events. These range from ACAC (Alberta Colleges Athletic Conference) competitions, tournaments, Campus Recreation, special events and the annual Awards Banquet. Other departmental assistance may also be required.

Assist with the setup and teardown of athletic venues, including preparing spaces, equipment, signage, and other event requirements. Support the planning, coordination, and delivery of NWP Athletics events, ensuring events meet Northwestern Polytechnic and ACAC requirements. Assist with game-day operations for ACAC competitions, tournaments, special events, and departmental functions.

Assume operational responsibility for events in the absence of the Event Coordinator, responding to game-day issues and escalating complex matters when necessary. Assist with Athletics social media coverage during events. Capture photos and video content at Athletics events for use on social media and other promotional platforms.
