Laundry AttendantThe World Equestrian Center - Ocala is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented
Laundry Attendant to join our Housekeeping team. This role is responsible for ensuring a consistent supply of clean, properly processed linens for guest rooms, restaurants, event spaces, and resort operations. The ideal candidate takes pride in their work, maintains high cleanliness standards, and contributes to the exceptional guest experience that defines the World Equestrian Center.
As a Laundry Attendant, you will play a critical role behind the scenes by supporting the resort's commitment to
Quality, Class, and Distinction through the proper handling, processing, and distribution of linens and laundry items.
Primary Responsibilities:- Collect, sort, wash, dry, fold, and distribute resort linens, including towels, bath mats, pillowcases, washcloths, bed pads, bedspreads, and food and beverage linens.
- Monitor and clear laundry chutes to maintain an efficient workflow and prevent operational disruptions.
- Operate commercial washers, dryers, and laundry equipment safely and efficiently.
- Clean lint traps, dryers, washers, and laundry equipment throughout the shift and at the end of each workday.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe laundry room environment.
- Stock linen shelves and ensure housekeeping and operational departments have adequate linen inventory available.
- Inspect linens for quality and remove damaged or stained items from circulation as appropriate.
- Notify leadership when laundry chemicals, supplies, or equipment maintenance needs arise.
- Immediately turn in any guest belongings discovered in laundry areas or linen chutes to Lost and Found in accordance with company procedures.
- Assist housekeeping operations, including guest room cleaning and public area support, when business needs require.
- Follow all safety, sanitation, and chemical handling procedures.
- Work collaboratively with housekeeping and other departments to support resort operations.
- Complete daily assignments and special projects as directed by leadership.

- Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, and reach for extended periods throughout the shift.
- Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry up to 75 pounds.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with exposure to heat, humidity, laundry chemicals, and commercial equipment.
- Manual dexterity required to operate laundry equipment and handle linens efficiently.
- Ability to communicate effectively with team members and leadership.
Qualifications, Education, Experience, Skills and Abilities:- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous laundry, housekeeping, hotel, or commercial cleaning experience preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness and quality standards.
- Ability to follow established procedures and safety guidelines.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Reliable attendance and a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays, as business needs require.
