The primary responsibility of an Equestrian Relief staff is to assist the Therapeutic Riding Instructor in ensuring the safety of all riders and visitors to the Equestrian Center. Equestrian Relief staff will also provide appropriate support and encouragement to all participants to ensure each receives the maximum benefit possible.

Venture Together, Inc. is a private non-profit organization that provides support to people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. We offer residential, day, community habilitation, respite and employment services, an equestrian program as well as an integrated summer camp. EOE

AGENCY REQUIREMENTS

Must Successfully participate in Orientation and pass all required testing.

All staff must embrace the philosophies Venture Together adheres to including Person Centered Planning and the DSP Core Competencies.

JOB SUMMARY:

The primary responsibility of an Equestrian Relief staff is to assist the Therapeutic Riding Instructor in ensuring the safety of all riders and visitors to the Equestrian Center. Equestrian Relief staff will also provide appropriate support and encouragement to all participants to ensure each receives the maximum benefit possible.

Equestrian Relief staff report to the Director of the Equestrian Program and work on an as needed basis.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Must be able to walk, stand, bend and stretch for long periods of time and be able to physically assist individuals with limited mobility. Experience with horses a plus. Experience with individuals with Intellectual or Developmental Disabilities a plus.

Salary: $18.00

Venture Equestrian, Stony Point, NY

Equestrian Program HoursMonday to Friday 9:00 am to 4:00 pmThursday 5:00 pm to 7:00 pmSaturday 10:00 am to 12:00 noon
