Job description

World Equestrian Center (WEC) - Ocala is a premier, luxury multi-venue destination offering world-class equestrian competition, upscale lodging and dining, and exceptional meeting and event spaces. In 2026, we expanded our portfolio with the opening of The Equestrian Manor at World Equestrian Center - Ocala, a signature meeting and event experience designed for high-touch corporate retreats, incentive programs, executive offsites, VIP gatherings, and more.
The World Equestrian Center - Ocala is looking for a Banquet Captain to join our team. The Banquet Captain assists in the oversight of set up and service for banquet and meeting events at World Equestrian Center.
Primary Responsibilities:
  • Works alongside Manager/Assistant Manager with inventories and scheduling
  • Supervises onsite personnel during set-up/teardown and operation of function
  • Meets directly with on-site contact to discuss timeline of days event
  • Completes bill and makes every effort to review changes with client
  • Makes drops of cash from cash bars and concessions

  • Associate is often required to sit and use his or her hands and fingers to handle or feel
  • Vision abilities required by this job include close vision
  • Associate must talk and hear

Qualifications, Education, Experience, Skills and Abilities
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Minimum of (1) years experience in banquet supervision or related position
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Understanding of basic math
  • Cash handling skills
  • Excellent guest service skills
  • Must have open availability with days, nights and weekends
