Job description

Job Summary:
The Equipment Manager will work closely with the Director of Athletics and the Associate Athletic Director, Sports Medicine, in the overall leadership of an NCAA Division II program. This individual will assist in planning, developing, implementing, communicating and administering the goals of this position in order to help fulfill University and Department objectives. Responsible for supporting all aspects of the athletic equipment operation. Administer equipment, acquisition, accountability of inventory, storage, customer service and distribution.

Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in a related field
Minimum of 1 year experience in athletic equipment management setting.
Ability to work flexible and irregular hours, weekends and holidays, including traveling to all football away games.
Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Valid driver's license and ability to operate University gators.
Ability to fit football helmets per NCAA safety standards and experience with the Helmet Tracker Inventory System
Member of AEMA or can become within 1 year.
Certified Equipment Manager or can become within 1 year.
Equivalent combination of education and experience, that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities may be considered.
Knowledge of athletic equipment and its proper use. Have experience running industrial washing machines and dryers.
Preferred Qualifications:
2 years of xperience working in an NCAA Division II athletic program.
Certified Equipment Manager
Knowledge of equipment reconditioning processes
