As an Epic analyst, your duties include working with users to assess needs, monitoring data, implementing system updates, and analyzing the system for performance issues. You use problem-solving skills to address any technical concerns, ensuring that the software, which the other hospital workers rely on to care for patients, is functioning at its best. You must become certified in the software, following the certification program laid out by Epic.

These skills ensure the optimization, customization, and smooth operation of Epic electronic health record systems, directly impacting patient care and organizational efficiency.

During new feature implementations, Epic Analysts often lead training sessions, address user concerns, and troubleshoot issues to ensure smooth adoption. Regular meetings and feedback loops are essential to align system capabilities with real-world clinical needs, making collaboration skills critical in this role.
