Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) has an exciting opportunity for an Entry Level or Associate Procurement Agent to join our dynamic team in Mesa, Arizona.

Position Responsibilities - Entry Level 1:

  • Assists with continuous review and analysis of demand and supply
  • Supports the sourcing strategies, negotiations and documenting of contracts and agreements
  • Gathers data for supplier performance evaluation and improvement opportunities

Position Responsibilities - Associate Level 2:

  • Performs continuous review and analysis of demand and supply
  • Prepares and executes proprietary information agreements
  • Supports sourcing strategies, negotiations and documenting of contracts and agreements
  • Communicates performance expectations and metrics to evaluate and monitor supplier performance

Summary of Responsibilities

  • Integrates program, customer, product and in-service strategies into source selection, negotiation and contracting strategies
  • Negotiates pricing and contract terms and conditions
  • Prepares and executes negotiated contractual documents and binding agreements
  • Conducts risk, issues and opportunities management
  • Manages supply and demand, schedules, supplier quality, delivery and financial performance
  • Initiates and executes supplier improvement activities and integrates results into contracting strategies
  • Communicates performance expectations and metrics to evaluate and monitor supplier performance.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

This position must meet export control compliance requirements. To meet export control compliance requirements, a "U.S. Person" as defined by 22 C.F.R. 120.15 is required. "U.S. Person" includes U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • More than 1 year of experience in negotiating contracts or managing suppliers
  • More than 1 year of experience in Supplier Management/ Procurement as a Purchasing Agent or Buyer.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor's degree or higher
  • More than 1 year of experience managing suppliers/vendors to deliver products and services.
  • More than 1 year of experience with proposal development and contract negotiations.
  • More than 1 year of experience working with U.S. Department of Defense contracts.
  • More than 1 year of experience with various contract types for example: Time & Materials, Firm Fixed Price, Cost Plus type Government contracts, etc.
  • Entry Level 1: Related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Associate Level 2: More than 1 year of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience

Typical Education/Experience:

Entry Level 1: Typically related work experience or relevant military experience. Advanced degree (e.g. Bachelor, Master, etc.) preferred, but not required.

Associate Level 2: Typically 3 or more years' related work experience or relevant military experience. Advanced degree (e.g. Bachelor, Master, etc.) preferred, but not required.
