Job description

Essential Functions:
  • Customer service and communication skills: Translating technical concepts and terms into clear verbose instructions for our end-users and clients keeping patience and empathy in mind throughout.
  • Troubleshooting hardware and software issues: Diagnose and resolve or escalate reported issues across all computers, printers, mobile devices and associated peripherals within the organization.
  • Cloud Computing: Familiarity with Exchange Online, Sharepoint, OneDrive, Azure AD, creating users, mailboxes, distribution and security groups.
  • Proficiency in navigating, deploying and triaging of Windows operating systems.
  • Active Directory/Windows Domain: Clear understanding in the basic functions of a Windows domain and daily upkeep of users, groups, object with Microsoft Active Directory.
  • Network fundamentals: Knowledge of basic networking protocols, IP addressing, DNS, DHCP and the techniques needed to properly diagnose and maintain devices relying on these fundamentals.
  • Remote Support: Knowledge and experience in supporting end-users and non-human devices with remote connectivity software.
  • Cybersecurity Awareness: Familiarity with best practices surrounding threat detection software, multi-factor authentication, methods for identifying and reporting potential threats, and resilliance against social engineering.

Additional Responsibilities:
  • Performs other similar or related duties as required or assigned.

Job Qualifications: General Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSA's) required
  • Strong troubleshooting skills with server, client and cloud environments
  • Working knowledge with DHCP, DNS, Active Directory, Microsoft Exchange
  • Willingness to learn specialized inhouse software

Physical Demands: Physical, Mental and workplace Environment Conditions
  • The employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand and walk.
  • The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 5 lbs and occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 lbs.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include: close vision, distance vision, color vision & focus.

Education and Experience:
  • Technical School Diploma or College degree
  • A+, Network +, MCP or related certification is desirable.
  • 1-2 years of network support experience preferred
  • Background in medical, clinical or diagnostic environment is a plus.
