Freelance or contract work in IT may also reach or exceed $700 per day depending on expertise and project scope.

How can I get into networking with no experience?

Entry level network support roles typically require foundational knowledge of networking concepts, which can be gained through self-study, online courses, or certifications like CompTIA Network+. Will AI replace CCNA jobs?

Entry Level Network Support roles involve managing and troubleshooting network systems, and while AI tools can assist with routine tasks, they are unlikely to fully replace these jobs soon. Human expertise is still essential for complex problem-solving, network design, and security considerations, often requiring certifications like the CCNA. Professionals who develop skills in networking fundamentals and stay updated with evolving technologies will remain valuable in the field.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as an Entry Level Network Support professional, and why are they important?

Familiarity with network monitoring tools, basic command-line utilities, and ticketing systems is commonly required. Strong problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and effective communication help you resolve issues efficiently and provide quality support. These skills are crucial for maintaining network reliability, minimizing downtime, and ensuring smooth IT operations.

What entry-level jobs can you get with Network+?
