Job description

We are seeking an IT Professional who can bridge the gap between technical contractors and non-technical staff. Despite the title, this role focuses heavily on IT vendor management, project coordination, and helpdesk triage within a structured environment.

Key Details

  • Location: New Kent, VA (Moving to Richmond, VA in the future)
  • Work Arrangement: 100% Onsite initially (Hybrid flexibility may be considered later based on performance)
  • Schedule: Monday Friday, 8:00 AM 5:00 PM
  • Interview Process: In-Person Only (Local candidates strongly preferred)

Core Responsibilities & Critical Skills

To be successful in this position, you must have at least 5 years of experience in the following core areas:

  • Vendor & Contractor Management: Coordinating external IT vendors, tracking deliverables, and ensuring accountability.
  • Project & Ticket Coordination: Managing help desk triage, tracking open tickets, and escalating issues as needed.
  • Asset Tracking: Managing IT hardware inventory and software licenses.
  • Website Content Coordination: Managing and organizing website updates (no hands-on coding or development required).

Additional Requirements:

  • 3+ years of general networking, systems, and Microsoft Office productivity tools knowledge (awareness level to effectively triage issues).
  • Familiarity with State/Government compliance and cybersecurity awareness is highly desired.
