Job description

Mission Statement:
Uplift's mission is to create and sustain public schools of excellence that empower each student to reach their highest potential in college and the global marketplace and that inspire in students a life-long love of learning, achievement, and service in order to positively change their world.
Primary Purpose:
The Uplift Enrollment Manager will serve as a leader of our scholar enrollment for all Uplift Schools. They will be responsible for building and overseeing the implementation of best-in-class practices that result in a positive family experience as a means to increase enrollment. The goal of the team is to convert offers to enrollments for new families and to reenroll our current families for the next school year.  This role will drive how our organization uses data and systems, including our enrollment system, SchoolMint, and CRM system, HubSpot, to improve the family experience enrolling in Uplift schools. The Enrollment Manager will lead a team of two Enrollment Coordinators as the face of Uplift's enrollment program. The Enrollment Manager plays a critical role in managing our enrollment platforms, analyzing our enrollment data, simplifying our enrollment insights and dashboards, ensuring clear systems and processes are documented and leveraged, and managing the team and activities involved in the complete lifecycle of registering and reenrolling, regularly interacting with families and campus teams. 



Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Create reports, dashboards, and analysis tools to help enrollment, recruitment, marketing, and cross-functional teams leverage enrollment data to drive our enrollment goals (e.g., applications received, families completing re-enrollment, seats offered, seats accepted)
  • Understands and analyses complex data sets from multiple tools to develop data insights
  • Partner with our Director of Admissions and Enrollment to manage our large and complex computerized enrollment system to ensure smooth processes (e.g., offers, lottery, re-enrollment)
  • In partnership with Marketing and Recruiting, understand and leverage our CRM systems to improve our enrollment processes
  • Establish, streamline, and document best-in-class enrollment protocols with input from cross-functional teams and continuously oversee and improve upon these protocols
  • Develop and work closely with Family Engagement and School Leadership Teams to train on and ensure effective implementation of enrollment processes and resources (playbooks, videos)
  • Manage two Enrollment Coordinators and support them through individual check-ins, goal setting, professional development, progress monitoring, and coaching
  • Lead the enrollment and cross-functional campus teams that support enrollment to ensure charter policies, practices, and procedures are understood and followed, ensuring high levels of customer service
  • Leads the team and enrollment for PreK-12 grades and reenrollment processes following the lead of the Director of Admissions and Enrollment, including converting offers to enrollments at each stage of the process
    • Deliver cohesive messaging and initiate the confirmation strategy after the lottery
    • Actively manage Schoolmint waitlists, ensuring offers are timely, and analyze enrollment data to make decisions on offers to families where there are open seats
    • Support families with registration completion and document submission
    • Organize and plan campus support sessions and call centers to assist families with registrations and provide in-person hands-on support to families through scheduled campus days as assigned
    • Serve as a technical expert and support schools to hold accurate PreK eligibility meetings
  • Serve as the face of Enrollment and manage the enrollment hotline to offer troubleshooting support for families throughout the school year and respond to all admission inquiries concerning enrollment/reenrollment communication (train and monitor support staff at high-volume periods)
  • Plan and lead enrollment events, including Information Sessions and Regional Pre-Enrollment, and partner with campuses on successful execution, including scheduling, logistics, content creation, and delivery
  • Collaborate with PAR team members during reconciliation and first day of school scholar count events, and collaborate with Health Services Team for timely submission of immunizations
  • May be assigned duties that align with department and network priorities and goals

Education, Experience, and/or Certification(s)

  • Education Requirements: Bachelor's Degree (B.A. / B.S.) from an accredited four-year university
  • Experience Requirements: Previous experience with enrollment management, systems management (SIS, enrollment, CRM, etc.), project management, or business analytics required.
  • Reasoning Ability:  Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. 

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Communication Skills: Adaptable and excellent communication skills, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills; comfort with and ability to conduct training and informational sessions for internal and public audiences is required.
  • Mathematical Skills: Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability, statistical inference, and forecasting. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
  • Bilingual Skills: Spanish required
  • Technology/Computer Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual should be highly proficient in Microsoft Office applications, extremely competent in Microsoft Excel, and have the ability to learn and use computer software as necessary. Experience with student information systems, enrollment systems, and/or CRM systems is highly preferred.
  • Customer Service: Ability to provide appropriate verbal and nonverbal responses to families and campus leaders in all situations and always make families feel a sense of belonging.
  • Travel: This job requires some driving to various campuses/events located across DFW; candidates must have access to reliable, personal transportation and a valid Texas driver's license.

Work Environment:

Hybrid work environment. Reliable transportation and ability to travel throughout Dallas/Ft Worth and surrounding areas (reimbursement for mileage included). Events may be hosted outdoors or indoors in varying weather conditions. 

Starting Salary: $65,000
