Media Relations Coordinator

Dynamic Catholic

Erlanger, KY • On-site

Full-time

Re-posted 12 days ago

Job description

Overview
Dynamic Catholic is seeking a hungry, high-capacity, and relentless Media Relations Coordinator to amplify our mission. This is an execution-heavy, high-energy role designed for a builder who wants to own our earned media engine. You will lead the charge in pitching, securing, and scaling our media outreach, building a vast network of journalists, podcasters, influencers, and producers to ensure our books, programs, and initiatives remain at the center of the cultural conversation.
We Have
  • A Category-Leading Portfolio: World-class resources, transformative annual initiatives like Best Lent Ever and Best Advent Ever, and life-changing books from Matthew Kelly and other strategic voices.
  • Mission Impact at Scale: A clear focus on re-energizing the Catholic Church. Our reach spans across the United States, Canada, and beyond, engaging millions of potential Trigger Moments to meet people exactly where they are and draw them deeper into their faith.
  • An Innovative Space: We operate with an entrepreneurial spirit, which means we are willing to take bold risks, challenge the status quo, and try new things to achieve our mission.

You Have
  • An "Amplifier" Mindset: You possess an innate bias for action and a relentless drive to share great stories. Rejection doesn't slow you down; it just refines your next pitch.
  • Flawless Communication & Relationship Instincts: You know how to capture attention in a crowded inbox, craft a compelling hook, and build genuine, long-term trust with media contacts.
  • Obsessive Attention to Detail: You don't just send pitches; you meticulously track open rates, follow-ups, secured spots, and audience reach. You cross every t and dot every i.
  • High Agility and Focus: You are deeply flexible and detached from your own ideas. If a specific pitch angle or campaign isn't gaining traction with the media, you drop it and pivot to serve the Mission

What You'll Do
  • Earned & Paid Media Execution: Build, launch, and manage aggressive outreach campaigns for new book releases, parish programs, and major campaigns, securing high-impact interviews, reviews, and features.
  • Media Network Cultivation: Actively discover, map, and cultivate a robust, up-to-date database of Catholic and mainstream media contacts, podcasters, bloggers, and faith leaders.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with internal creative and content teams to align media pitches with the overall marketing strategy.
  • Rigorous Impact Reporting: Own the data behind our media success by generating comprehensive weekly reports tracking pitches sent, placements secured, estimated reach, and total media value.
