Middle School Math Classroom Teacher - Grades 5th and 8th
Summary:
Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic School (SEASCS) is seeking a dynamic, faith-filled Math Teacher for Grades 5 8 who is passionate about developing strong mathematical thinkers rooted in logic, problem-solving, and critical reasoning. The ideal candidate will demonstrate excellence in instruction, flexibility in implementing new curricula, and a commitment to educating the whole child within a faithful Catholic environment.
This position calls for an educator who understands the developmental needs of upper elementary and middle school students and who can foster a classroom culture that promotes inquiry, perseverance, and intellectual growth in mathematics.
Primary Responsibilities:
  • Teach Math to students in grades 5 8, ensuring instruction aligns with school standards and curriculum goals.
  • Design and deliver engaging lessons that emphasize:
    • Problem solving
    • Critical thinking
    • Logical reasoning
    • Conceptual understanding
  • Implement and adapt to a new or evolving math curriculum, demonstrating openness, flexibility, and collaboration.
  • Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse learning needs of students.
  • Use formative and summative assessments to monitor student progress and guide instruction.
  • Foster a classroom environment that encourages curiosity, intellectual risk-taking, and academic excellence.

  • Communicate effectively and professionally with parents and guardians regarding student progress.
