Ruekert & Mielke, Inc. (R/M) is seeking a GIS Software Developer to help build, improve, and support AssetAlly®, our GIS-driven asset management platform used by municipal clients to manage infrastructure data, field workflows, work orders, dashboards, and long-term planning. As a 100% employee-owned firm, your success is our success. We offer professional development, long-term growth opportunities, and the ability to make a visible impact in the communities we serve.

What You’ll Gain:

  • Work extensively with Esri software (ArcGIS Pro, Online, Enterprise, Dashboards, Field Maps, Survey123)
  • Configure and integrate VertiGIS Studio tools (Web, Reporting, Go)
  • Translate client needs into practical technical solutions and troubleshoot complex application issues
  • Maintain and validate GIS datasets, improve workflows, and automate processes
  • Design and implement ArcGIS geoprocessing tools for analysts
  • Collaborate across teams for product improvement and client success
  • Participate in technical planning, testing, release coordination, and support
  • Stay current with GIS, cloud, and web development best practices

Qualifications & Skills

The ideal candidate for this position will possess the following education, experience, and abilities:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, GIS, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 3+ years of software development or GIS application experience
  • Proficiency with modern JavaScript/TypeScript frameworks and APIs
  • Experience with Esri technologies (ArcGIS Pro, Online, Enterprise, Field Maps, Survey123)
  • Familiarity with VertiGIS Studio, AWS, SQL/NoSQL databases, REST APIs, and Python scripting preferred
  • understanding of GIS data structures, spatial analysis, and municipal infrastructure workflows preferred
  • Ability to write clean, maintainable, testable code and troubleshoot full-stack issues
  • Self-directed, organized, and effective communicator capable of working across technical and non-technical teams
