In this role, you will manage a team that designs, develops, troubleshoots and operates tier 0 cloud services. Primary area of focus will be networking software such as VPN and Core routing infrastructure.
As a director of the software engineering division, you will be the service owner for customer facing cloud services as well as virtual networking infrastructure components. You will apply your extensive knowledge of networking and distributed systems to manage software development tasks associated with developing, debugging or designing distributed network services You will apply your operational experience to operate tier 0 cloud services under strict SLOs. Interact with product teams to come up with product roadmaps and define the customer experience.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years experience delivering and operating large scale, highly available distributed systems.

  • Demonstrable leadership and people management skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written skills.
  • Strong knowledge of data structures, algorithms, operating systems, and distributed systems fundamentals.
  • Working familiarity with networking protocols (TCP/IP, HTTP) and standard network architectures.
  • Experience building multi-tenant, virtualized infrastructure is a strong plus.
  • Prior experience with either AWS, Azure or GCP is a plus.
  • BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area.
