This is a results-driven leadership role centered on turning the deep evaluation data 247Sports collects into premium, subscriber-facing products that make our VIP membership materially more valuable. The Director will lead product development across the recruiting database (RDB), scouting and evaluation tooling, and subscriber growth, and will partner closely with editorial, scouting, engineering, and site publishers to drive measurable results.

Key responsibilities:

Product strategy & VIP subscriber value
Own the product vision and roadmap for 247Sports web and data products, with a focus on driving VIP subscription value, retention, and acquisition.
Lead the flagship initiative to productize proprietary evaluation data, including scouting reports, verified and unverified measurables, track times, and cross-sport intel, into front-facing content and interactive tools that show subscribers how and why players are ranked.
Define and prioritize premium features such as player evaluation profiles, searchable and sortable measurables and testing data, cross-sport intel, and scout-grade comparison tools.

Scouting & recruiting product partnership
Partner with the scouting and recruiting teams to build and expand the internal evaluation tooling they rely on day to day, including the scouting-information repository, evaluation tracking, and rankings workflows.
Lead development of depth charts and impact ratings, connecting scouting data directly to consumer-facing products.

Recruiting database (RDB)
Own the roadmap to elevate the RDB product experience and establish it as the primary destination for premium evaluation data.

Product marketing & growth
Partner with site publishers on strategies that drive traffic, engagement, and subscriptions.
Tie data-driven product initiatives directly to measurable subscriber acquisition and retention outcomes.

Cross-functional leadership
Lead product initiatives across engineering, editorial, scouting, and design, setting direction, prioritizing the roadmap, and driving execution.
Provide QA, project management, and site-production oversight as needed across product areas.
Support the 247Sports app roadmap, contributing on the web, backend, and data components that feed it, including Player Rankings.

Qualifications

Required
10+ years of product management experience, including roadmap ownership.
Demonstrated track record of building and shipping complex, data-driven products from the ground up.
Proven ability to translate large or complex data sets into consumer-facing products and tools.
Strong background in subscription or membership products, with a focus on driving retention and growth.
Experience leading cross-functional teams and partnering with editorial, engineering, and business stakeholders.
Excellent product judgment, prioritization, and communication skills.

Preferred
Deep familiarity with college sports, recruiting, and player evaluation.
Experience founding or leading a product or business built on sports data or recruiting tools.
Background working directly with scouting or evaluation data and the teams that produce it.
