Director, Product Innovation

Position Summary:

Develop innovative home service subscription products that create a competitive advantage in the market and increase consumer appeal. Product development actions should be focused on all the different stages involved in taking a product from an idea to the consumer. Managing the product innovation pipeline, research and testing, in addition to prioritization and ROI for these efforts, is critical. Ultimately, achieve our business objectives – Revenue / LTV (Retention) / CAC.

Responsibilities:

  • Identify a market need: Identify a problem and create a product to solve that problem by talking to customers, completing surveys, and using market research.
  • Quantify the need: Determine if the problem is large enough to warrant a product-based solution and if the customers are willing to pay for this solution.
  • Conceptualize the product: Apply creativity and innovation to figure out the product solution.
  • Validate the solution: Test whether the solution product is viable, worth pursuing, and liked by the target users.
  • Build a roadmap: Identify goals and themes for development and solve the most important challenges to legitimize the product concept.
  • Develop the product: Create a minimum viable product (MVP), an initial version that has only enough function to meet its customer's purpose.
  • Release to users: Conduct experiments with the MVP to gauge interest, test price sensitivity, find marketing channels, create a message, and develop packaging.
  • Ongoing feedback: Collect customer feedback to continue expansion and enhancements, keep growing the product roadmap, and set new strategic goals for the product.
  • Ensure effective alignment with the Product Innovation Steering Committee
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • 8+ years of experience in Marketing and Product Innovation
  • Hands‑on experience leading primary consumer research and rapidly validating insights through pilots, experiments, and in‑market testing to guide product investment decisions.
  • Deep experience translating primary consumer research—qualitative and quantitative—into testable product concepts, pricing, and value propositions, with a proven track record of using in‑market experimentation (concept tests, pilots, A/B tests) to drive evidence‑backed product decisions.”
  • Ability to adeptly lead a cross-functional, matrix team to highly successful outcomes
  • Working knowledge of the latest digital marketing, technology, and media consumption trends
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to get things done in a fast-paced, limited-resource environment.

Education:
