Job description

Yield Strategy & Analytics Director

We are seeking a Yield Strategy & Analytics Director to transform large-scale, log-level advertising data into actionable business insights. This role sits at the intersection of ad tech, data engineering, and analytics. You will work closely with Revenue, Ad Operations, Product, and other teams to analyze data from platforms such as Google Ad Manager and FreeWheel, leveraging modern data tools like Databricks, Tableau, Python, and SQL. This role is onsite based out of NYC.

Responsibilities
  • Analyze log-level data from ad servers (e.g., Google Ad Manager, FreeWheel) to uncover trends in yield, delivery, fill rate, viewability, and revenue performance.
  • Develop scalable queries and data models to evaluate campaign performance, inventory monetization, and audience segmentation.
  • Translate complex findings into actionable insights for non-technical stakeholders.
  • Build and maintain robust data pipelines in Databricks to process large-scale ad event logs.
  • Write optimized SQL queries to extract, transform, and validate advertising datasets.
  • Develop Python scripts for automation, anomaly detection, forecasting, and statistical analysis.
  • Collaborate with Product and Engineering to improve data tracking and monetization systems.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Analytics, Statistics, Economics, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • 8-10 years of experience in digital advertising, ad tech, or media analytics.
  • Advanced SQL skills with experience querying large datasets.
  • Proficiency in Python for data analysis and automation (pandas, NumPy, etc.).
  • Handsโ€‘on experience with Databricks or similar big data processing environments and familiarity with cloud environments (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
  • Familiarity with ad serving platforms (Google Ad Manager, FreeWheel) and experience working with log-level data at scale.
  • Strong analytical, problemโ€‘solving, and communication skills.

Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements, the pay rate/range for this role, with final offer amount dependent on education, skills, experience, and location, is $128,000.00-150,500.00 annually. This role is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, various benefits, including medical/dental/vision, insurance, a 401(k) plan, paid time off, and other benefits in accordance with applicable plan documents. Benefits for Union represented employees will be in accordance with the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
