Job description

We are seeking a strategic and experienced Vice President of Programmatic & CTV Ad Operations to lead our expanding programmatic and Connected TV (CTV) advertising practice. Reporting directly to the executive leadership team, this role will oversee the end-to-end operations, strategy, and team management for programmatic campaigns, with a strong emphasis on CTV/OTT channels. You will drive revenue growth, optimize campaign performance, and scale our capabilities in a rapidly evolving digital landscape.
This is a full-time leadership position based in Boston, MA, with hybrid work options and opportunities for professional growth in a collaborative, high-impact environment.
What You'll Do
  • Lead the programmatic and CTV ad operations team, including trafficking, optimization, yield management, and reporting.
  • Develop and execute advanced programmatic strategies across DSPs (e.g., The Trade Desk, DV360, Amazon DSP), SSPs, and CTV platforms to maximize ROI for clients.
  • Oversee campaign setup, execution, pacing, troubleshooting, and performance analysis for display, video, and CTV inventory.
  • Collaborate with paid media, client services, and analytics teams to integrate programmatic/CTV efforts with broader digital strategies (e.g., paid search, social, SEO).
  • Manage vendor relationships, negotiate deals, and evaluate new ad tech partners to enhance capabilities in programmatic guaranteed, private marketplaces, and open exchanges.
  • Drive innovation in CTV advertising, including audience targeting, measurement, and cross-channel attribution.
  • Establish best practices for ad operations, including quality assurance, brand safety, fraud prevention, and compliance (e.g., privacy regulations).
  • Mentor and build a high-performing team, fostering a culture of curiosity, integrity, and continuous improvement.
  • Provide thought leadership on industry trends, contributing to client pitches, agency marketing, and internal training.
What You'll Bring
  • 10+ years of experience in digital ad operations, with at least 5 years focused on programmatic advertising and CTV/OTT.
  • Proven leadership experience managing ad ops teams in an agency or high-volume environment.
  • Deep expertise with major programmatic platforms (DSPs, SSPs like Magnite, PubMatic), ad servers (e.g., Google Ad Manager), and CTV ecosystems.
  • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in tools like Google Analytics, Tableau, or similar for performance reporting and optimization.
  • Track record of scaling programmatic revenue and delivering measurable client results.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with experience presenting to clients and executives.
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Advertising, Business, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
  • Passion for data-driven marketing and staying ahead of trends in programmatic, CTV, and addressable media.

Salary Range: $150,000-$200,000
We determine compensation based on experience, demonstrated skills, and current market conditions at the time of hire to ensure fairness and consistency across roles.
