Job description

At Red House, a Media Planner evaluates project, brand, and campaign goals, and then effectively plans and executes integrated audience communication strategies. This position requires a deep and thorough understanding of the current media landscape, including all digital and traditional media vehicles and tactics. It’s essential that candidates possess experience managing self-service paid media platforms (i.e. Google AdWords, Facebook, Twitter, Snapchat, etc.) and should also have experience planning/purchasing media on traditional media channels (i.e. Outdoor, Print, Radio, TV). Candidates must possess 3-5 years of prior advertising agency experience. This position reports to the Vice President, Director of Media. Primary Responsibilities:

  • Develop integrated media strategies and plans for agency clients
  • Interact with the VP/Director of Media, Associate Media Director, and Account Director to strategize and problem solve communication challenges
  • Possess a solid understanding of the external business and market dynamics of assigned clients
  • Negotiate and execute media buys for agency clients
  • Work closely with Account Executives to schedule and monitor all projects
  • Foster strong working relationships with third-party media vendors
  • Develop comprehensive media performance reports in conjunction with the Associate Director of Analytics

Routine Tasks:

  • Produce integrated media plans that include digital and traditional tactics
  • Contact media vendors for proposals and estimates
  • Purchase paid media from media vendors in a cost-effective and sustainable manner
  • Manage self-service media buying platforms across multiple clients
  • Make budget adjustments and optimizations in real-time
  • Develop media performance reports that tie back to client marketing goals
  • Work effectively across internal creative, account, analytics, finance, and production departments
  • Effectively handle multiple assignments simultaneously
  • Manage challenging situations both internally and with the client
