Job Summary
We're looking for a creative, detail-oriented Social Media Marketing Intern to support our social media and digital marketing teams. This intern will help produce engaging content, manage posting schedules, monitor performance, and support campaigns that strengthen brand awareness and community engagement across key social platforms.
This role will also support the day-to-day execution of organic social and social commerce by helping translate brand briefs into social-first content, coordinate with agency and affiliate partners, and keep content, posting, and storefront workflows moving.
This is a hands-on role designed for someone who wants real-world experience in content creation, social strategy, community management, analytics, and social commerce operations in a fast-paced environment.
  • Length of Internship: 12 weeks (June through August 2026)
  • Hours: 40 hours per week
  • Compensation: Paid internship

Primary Duties & Responsibilities
Content & Publishing
  • Assist with planning and executing a weekly/monthly social media content calendar.
  • Draft and edit social copy aligned to brand voice and platform best practices.
  • Support creation of short-form content (e.g., Reels/TikTok-style clips, Stories, carousels) using templates and brand guidelines.
  • Coordinate approvals and schedule posts through tools like [Sprout Social/Hootsuite/Buffer/Meta Business Suite].
  • Help translate brand briefs or brand directions into organic social concepts, captions, hooks, and platform-native content ideas that align with both brand voice and what performs on social.

Community & Engagement
  • Monitor comments and messages; flag priority items and help respond using approved guidelines.
  • Track community sentiment and elevate trends, customer feedback, and FAQs to the team.

Campaign Support
  • Support paid and organic campaigns by preparing creative variations, hashtags, and audience-targeted copy.
  • Help coordinate with cross-functional partners (Design, PR, Product, Sales) to gather content and align on timelines.
  • Support agency coordination by helping track briefs, feedback, and deliverables.
  • Help manage affiliate workflow, including creator follow-up, content status, and posting support.
  • Assist with social commerce storefront and organic posting operations.

Analytics & Reporting
  • Pull basic weekly performance metrics (reach, engagement rate, follower growth, clicks, video views).
  • Help translate results into learnings and recommendations (what worked, what to test next).

Competitive/Trend Research
  • Monitor social trends, platform feature changes, and competitor activity.
  • Bring forward fresh content ideas that align with brand and audience.

Education and Experience Profile
  • Role not eligible for sponsorship.
  • Seeking a Junior or Senior pursuing Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Communications, Digital Media, Business, Journalism, Advertising or related business field.
  • Students entering the last year of an Associate or Technical degree in the above fields may be considered.
  • May 2026 graduates may be considered.

Required Skills
  • Experience creating content for social channels (personal projects, student orgs, prior internships welcome).
  • Familiarity with tools such as Canva, Adobe Express, CapCut, or Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Basic knowledge of social media best practices (hashtags, accessibility, engagement tactics).
  • Exposure to scheduling or analytics tools (Sprout, Hootsuite, Buffer, Later, native insights).
  • Interest in brand strategy, community building, and digital storytelling.
  • Exposed to AI tools such as Gemini, ChatGPT.

Work Environment
