The Opportunity
The Upstream Product Manager -Cardiac Digital Health & Connectivity position works out of our Sylmar, CA location in the Cardiac Rhythm Management Division.
This is a fully onsite role.
As a global leader in Cardiac Rhythm Technologies, we focus on innovative technologies that can improve the way doctors treat people with heart arrhythmias or irregular heartbeats.
Upstream Product Manager - Cardiac Digital Health & Connectivity is responsible for the global product marketing within the Connectivity and Digital Health portfolio for Cardiac Rhythm Management (CRM). This includes iterations of our clinician dashboard, at home transmitters and mobile apps and data analytics.
This position is responsible for guiding the product direction and implementing activities to develop and launch products. This includes developing marketing plans, user needs and requirements. The Product Manager is responsible for the identifying global customer and market needs, building out product concepts, and managing products from launch to end of life.
As a product champion, you will be the hub for product and market knowledge, planning, execution, and achieving business objectives. You are the expert related to the product lines, competitive landscape, and key global customer dynamics in the CRM digital space.
What You'll Work On
Strategy
  • Define new products, enhancements of existing products to meet new market demands
  • Recommend new markets or business models related to connectivity and digital health
  • Provide product/concept justification as input to the annual operating plan
  • Conduct market research to collect market data and shares results regularly with management

Product Development
  • Provide marketing leadership throughout the development cycle (e.g. lead trade-off analyses based on customer, financial, and timeline considerations)
  • Direct and inform other in-house groups such as R&D, Clinical Affairs, Operations, Finance, Quality, and Regulatory that affect the successful achievement of business objectives.
  • Providing direction to the Commercial Areas/countries
  • Lead market development activities and development of tools to raise awareness of the benefits of CRM digital product lines
  • Present marketing and sales plans to internal management
  • Builds strong relationships with leading KOLs around the globe
  • Lead physician advisory boards, congress/symposium, and other KOL engagement activities
  • Maintains positive and cooperative communications and collaboration with all levels of employees, customers, contractors, and vendors

Product Launch
  • Support the commercial organizations in achieving their objectives; such as market share, and revenue
  • Deliver launch and educational materials/tools to differentiate product versus the competition
  • Coordinate with marketing communications to support development of resources, programs, and any other collateral material required to support sales and key marketing messages.
  • Ensure launch and post-launch success; offer leadership to international commercial organizations and on-market teams
  • Comply with U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) regulations, other regulatory requirements, Company policies, operating procedures, processes, and task assignments.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE YOU'LL BRING
  • Bachelors Degree or an equivalent combination of education and work experience
  • Masters Degree Preferred
  • Minimum 5 years -Marketing experience, preferably in the medical device or healthcare industry.
  • Experience working with complex product portfolios in the medical device industry. Experience with strategic product planning and commercial execution.
  • Developed leadership skills/experience, including the ability to map task interdependencies, prioritize such tasks, and develop, monitor and live within budgets as well as the demonstrated ability to forecast major milestones.
  • Experience working in a broader enterprise/cross-division business unit model preferred.
  • Ability to work in a highly matrixed and geographically diverse business environment.
  • Ability to work within a team and as an individual contributor in a fast-paced, changing environment.
  • Ability to leverage and/or engage others to accomplish projects. Strong verbal and written communications with ability to effectively communicate at multiple levels in the organization.
  • Multitasks, prioritizes and meets deadlines in timely manner. Strong organizational and follow-up skills, as well as attention to detail.
  • Ability to travel approximately 15%, including internationally(only if required)

  • Experience working with complex product portfolios, preferably in the medical device industry
  • Experience with digital health and/or software-based product management
  • Data Analytics, Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence experience
