Job Description Summary

Reynolda's Digital Content Manager will support and optimize marketing and communications efforts on behalf of Reynolda House and Reynolda Gardens, with a heavy emphasis on digital and multichannel marketing efforts.
This position is responsible for managing a cohesive digital marketing strategy that prioritizes a connected user experience across website content, email marketing, and social media (paid and organic). The position is pivotal to Reynolda's fundraising, audience outreach, engagement, and growth efforts. The ideal candidate will be able to manage multiple project timelines and have a keen eye for detail. Reporting to the Director of Marketing and Communications, Reynolda House Museum of American Art and Reynolda Gardens, the Manager is a highly organized and communicative self-starter who thrives in a culture that is creative, fast-paced, and team-oriented. This position has the opportunity to contribute to innovative marketing and communications strategies on a team that values experimentation using data-driven decisions.

Job Description

Essential Functions:
Maintains and updates content and design for Reynolda's website Reynolda.org ensuring the user journey is in line with a multichannel marketing approach
Produces multiple email campaigns per month in Constant Contact for Reynolda House and Gardens to be distributed to members, friends, and other audience segments
Works with marketing director to create and maintain social media marketing and communications content calendar for team review and approval; uses social media management platform (Later.com) to publish content customized for each social channel
Assists with publishing digital programs on multiple platforms
Analyzes social media paid and organic performance to aid in communications evaluations and reports; tracks key digital and social media marketing engagement metrics connecting them to Reynolda's admissions, fundraising and programmatic goals
Engages with social media followers in a timely manner and responds to social media inquiries
Ensures that all Reynolda House and Gardens programs and events are published on their respective websites, Facebook pages and online events calendars, including the Wake Forest University and Wake the Arts calendars and state and local tourism calendars
Photograph and/or videos Reynolda estate and events, as needed, and coordinates with freelance photographers and videographers
Conducts regular 'temperature checks' across online review sites including TripAdvisor, GlassDoor, Indeed, and Google, among others
Tracks website analytics through Google Analytics connecting them with conversions through Reynolda's Altru CRM
Assists Director of Marketing and Communication with researching and buying paid media for Reynolda as needed to support programs, exhibitions, and brand growth; supports Director to create and manage integrated campaign plans and strategies
Ensures that all content produced meets Reynolda's brand standards and helps maintain the content production calendar as needed
Assist Director of Marketing and Communications with other duties as determined


Other Functions:
Uses data to inform decisions about design
Maintains Reynolda's image and video library
Represents Reynolda at community events on nights and weekends, as needed
Collaborates with marketing colleagues at Reynolda Village and The Graylyn Estate, as needed

Required Education, Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Advertising, Communications, or a closely related field from an accredited college or university. Equivalent experience considered.
Two to three years of experience in digital marketing and brand content development
Ability to write for a variety of audiences in a clear, grammatically correct, and engaging tone appropriate to a range of platforms and internal and external target audiences.
Experience in email marketing and database management/segmentation
Skilled in social media content creation and management; includes staying up-to-date with emerging trends and platforms
Ability to create engaging video and photography content
Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
Strong project management skills, including familiarity with project management tools
Resourceful, adaptable, and focused
Analytical mindset and critical thinker
Ability to exercise sound judgment, tact, and diplomacy
Proficiency in Google Business Suite and Microsoft Office
Website CMS experience a plus (WordPress, Drupal)
CRM reporting and data extraction experience
Ability to work successfully independently and in a team environment.

Preferred Education, Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
Proficiency in image and video editing
Knowledgeable in graphic design software such as Adobe Creative Suite
Prior knowledge in Google Ads and Analytics

Accountabilities:
Adhere to institutional guidelines and uphold brand standards
Responsible for own work.
