Job description

CBS2/FOX9 in Boise, Idaho has an immediate opening for a Digital Content Manager to create and manage content on our digital and social media platforms. The ideal candidate will produce daily digital and social content, oversee digital producers, and implement our strategy to grow our audience on all of our platforms. You will work closely with producers and reporters on daily selection and coverage. The expectation is that the Digital Content Manager will lead by example.

Responsibilities of our Digital Content Manager will include (but are not limited to):

  • Oversee digital and social platforms to ensure we are serving our local communities by sharing relevant information to alert, protect, and empower our audiences
  • Supervise digital producers, review stories and posts, and provide feedback to encourage impactful storytelling
  • Collaborate with News Director and other station managers to create special content
  • Spearhead management and innovative management of social media channels, including growing our YouTube channel
  • Edit both short-form and long-form videos to upload on social media and YouTube
  • Use social media analytics tools such as Sprout Social to monitor our audience and social platforms
  • Use Google Analytics to keep an eye on website performance and informing future content decisions
