Digital Content Lead

Reports To: VP of Marketing

Role Overview

PrimoHoagies is seeking a creative, energetic, and highly organized Digital Content Lead to lead day-to-day social media and digital communications. This role will create compelling content, manage social media channels, maintain content calendars, support customer engagement and reputation management, and help grow brand awareness across digital platforms.

The ideal candidate is equal parts content creator, community manager, and digital marketer - someone who is passionate about social media trends, comfortable behind the camera, and excited to bring the PrimoHoagies brand to life through strong storytelling and engaging content.

 

Key Responsibilities:

Social Media Content Creation & Management

  • Create, capture, edit, and publish engaging photo, video, reel, story, and short-form content.
  • Manage and maintain content calendars across all social platforms.
  • Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, YouTube, X, etc.
  • Execute daily posting strategies that align with brand standards, campaign priorities, and marketing objectives.
  • Capture and develop content around store openings, promotions, events, franchisee success stories, community initiatives, product launches, partnerships, brand positioning, and trending topics.
  • Collaborate with franchisees and internal stakeholders to identify, source, and develop content opportunities.
  • Monitor platform performance and recommend optimizations to improve engagement, reach, and audience growth.

 

Trend & Culture Monitoring

  • Stay current on social media trends, viral content opportunities, platform updates, and best practices.
  • Identify trending topics and translate them into brand-relevant content that increases engagement and reach.
  • Serve as an internal resource and advisor on social media best practices.

 

Community Management & Reputation Management

  • Monitor and respond to customer reviews across Google, Yelp, Facebook, and other review platforms.
  • Manage social media comments, direct messages, and customer interactions in a timely, professional, and brand-appropriate manner.
  • Escalate customer service issues as needed and coordinate responses with the appropriate internal teams.
  • Help maintain and strengthen brand reputation and customer sentiment across digital channels.

 

Email & SMS Marketing

  • Manage the owned media content schedule across social, email, SMS, and web channels.
  • Develop SMS/MMS messaging that supports campaigns, promotions, and customer engagement.
  • Work with agency partners to develop messaging, graphics and design elements that support owned media communications.
  • Monitor campaign performance and provide recommendations for improvement.

 

Influencer & Paid Campaign Support

  • Assist with influencer outreach, relationship management, content coordination, and deliverable tracking.
  • Support the execution of paid social media campaigns and promotional initiatives.
  • Track campaign performance and provide basic reporting, insights, and recommendations.

 

Analytics & Reporting

  • Track social media and digital marketing KPIs, including engagement, reach, audience growth, traffic, and campaign performance.
  • Develop recurring reports with clear insights and actionable recommendations.
  • Use data and performance insights to inform content strategy and improve marketing effectiveness.

 

Experience & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Digital Media, or a related field preferred.
  • 2-5 years of experience managing social media accounts for a brand across platforms such as Instagram, TikTok, and Facebook; franchise, retail, food service, or agency experience is a plus.
  • Experience creating short-form video content for Instagram Reels, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, and Facebook.
  • Photography and videography experience, including capturing and editing content.
  • Experience using content creation and editing tools such as Canva, CapCut, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar platforms.
  • Experiencing managing social media content on behalf of a brand and using review, and listings management tools such as Yext, SOCi, Hootsuite, or Sprout Social.
  • Strong copywriting skills with the ability to write engaging social posts, emails, SMS campaigns, and customer responses.
  • Ability to respond to social media comments, messages, and reviews using a brand-appropriate voice and tone.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple campaigns, calendars, and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects at once.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Positive attitude, collaborative spirit, and willingness to learn, adapt, and take initiative.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.
  • Willingness to travel to PrimoHoagies locations, new store openings, and special events as needed.
