Position Summary

The Digital Content Manager leads planning, content production, and supports content creation and dissemination across Livingstone College's website, social media platforms, print and digital communications. This role ensures that all digital content imagery is timely, on-brand, accurate, and effective in engaging prospective students, current students, alumni, and the broader community.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Support the development and maintenance of an editorial content calendar spanning the College website, email, and social media channels.
  • Write, edit, and publish digital content including news stories, social posts, email newsletters, and web copy.
  • Support the management of the College's social media presence, including community engagement, scheduling, and platform analytics.
  • Coordinate with IMC Staff and interns to source visual assets for campaigns.
  • Monitor content performance metrics and adjust strategy based on engagement and reach data.
  • Ensure all published content adheres to brand voice, style guide, and accessibility standards.
  • Respond to and moderate public comments and inquiries on official College social channels in coordination with IMC leadership.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, English, or a related field.
  • Three or more years of experience in content creation, digital marketing, or social media management.
  • Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Working knowledge of content management systems and major social media platforms and their analytics tools.

Education/ Experience

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in a higher education or nonprofit communications setting.
  • Familiarity with basic graphic design or video editing tools (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, Canva).

Office-based with regular need to attend and cover campus events, occasionally outside standard business hours.
