Job description

JLL empowers you to shape a brighter way.
Our people at JLL are shaping the future of real estate for a better world by combining world class services, advisory and technology for our clients. We are committed to hiring the best, most talented people and empowering them to thrive, grow meaningful careers and to find a place where they belong. Whether you've got deep experience in commercial real estate, skilled trades or technology, or you're looking to apply your relevant experience to a new industry, join our team as we help shape a brighter way forward.
Digital Analyst, PDS Projects - JLL
What this job involves:
We are looking for a Digital Analyst to join the Amgen account team within JLL's Project & Development Services (PDS) organization, supporting the Project Management team responsible for capital planning and execution of small capital projects.
This role acts as the account's primary liaison to the JLL Technologies team - defining reporting requirements and translating the project team's strategy, goals, and priorities into clear direction for BI to build and maintain in Azara. A key part of this role is the ability to communicate business needs, requirements, and strategy to a BI team that may not have direct familiarity with construction or project management terminology, workflows, or priorities - effectively translating industry-specific context so that reporting outputs accurately reflect the realities of capital project delivery. The Digital Analyst will not necessarily build reports directly, but should be highly data-fluent, comfortable interpreting complex project and financial data, identifying risks, and communicating clearly with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
This role calls for general familiarity with project schedules and budgets, including how vendor commitments, purchase orders (POs), and invoices typically relate to overall budget tracking.
The ideal candidate will have prior experience in reporting, data analysis, or business analysis, ideally within a capital planning, construction, or real estate environment, and be comfortable acting as a bridge between business strategy and technical execution.
What your day-to-day will look like:
As this is a newly created role, responsibilities below may be adjusted as the position evolves. This list is representative rather than exhaustive.
  • Define reporting requirements for capital project tracking (budgets, schedules, pipeline, spend, and portfolio performance) and translate them into clear direction for the BI team to build or adjust within Azara.
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with all stakeholders including the establishment and fostering of strong relationships with JLL's BI and Technology teams, serving as the primary liaison between the account/PM team and the technical teams responsible for report development.
  • Bridge the knowledge gap between construction/project management practices and BI/Technology teams by clearly explaining industry-specific terminology, workflows, and business context so technical teams can accurately build and adjust reporting tools.
  • Communicate and drive alignment on the capture of data necessary to make full use of JLL's reporting and Business Intelligence systems.
  • Track and monitor capital project data within Ingenious Build throughout the planning and execution lifecycle, ensuring the PM team's goals and priorities are clearly reflected in reporting outputs.
  • Review completed reports and dashboards in Azara for accuracy, consistency, and integrity, identifying discrepancies and partnering with the BI team to resolve issues.
  • Analyze data within reports to proactively identify potential risks to the capital plan, strategy, or execution - including risks related to spend requirements, budget variances, and schedule delays - and escalate findings clearly to the PDS account leadership.
  • Partner with the team leadership and the client to gather reporting requirements and communicate account strategy, priorities, and feedback to the BI team throughout development and revision cycles.
  • Promote continuous quality monitoring and drive improvement of reporting tools, processes, and data governance practices.
  • Maintain clear documentation of reporting requirements, data definitions, identified risks, and report change history to support continuity and alignment between the account and BI teams.

Required Qualifications:
Requirements reflect the experience we anticipate needing most; exact qualifications may be adjusted as we learn more about the role.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Data Analytics, Construction Management, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • Typically 5+ years of experience in reporting, data analysis, or business analysis; experience with capital projects, construction, or facilities management preferred.
  • Familiarity with Ingenious Build, AdaptiveWork, Azara, or similar capital project management/BI platforms preferred.
  • Strong analytical skills and comfort interpreting and questioning data; hands-on report-building experience is a plus but not required.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate business needs, requirements, and strategy into terms a BI/technical audience can act on - even when that audience lacks construction or project management background.
  • Ability to work independently, think creatively and analytically, and make data-driven decisions.
  • Perceptive, self-motivated, and collaborative, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills and an eye for detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work well with diverse stakeholders.
