This position focuses on guiding teams of people around the firm and in multiple locations on BD and marketing initiatives for markets, practice areas, and clients in collaboration with regional and corporate marketing professionals across the firm. The duties and responsibilities of the position include but are not limited to the performance of the following activities:ย 

  • Lead and guide initiatives for specific markets and clients, coordinating the development of strategic marketing and BD plans;
  • Become in-house expert on the marketing attributes and needs of the assigned BD initiatives including competition, drivers, and trends;
  • Develop, organize, and maintain a resource database related to assigned BDIs, and promote related internal collaboration sites, including content management & site management;
  • Research and support assessment of competitor activities, market intelligence, industry trends, and technological innovations;
  • Provide leadership and support for developing, increasing, and maintaining brand awareness through coordination of the BDIโ€™s participation in internal and external media and targeted marketing campaigns;
  • Manage and track the preparation of collateral materials, including research, graphical content, and coordinate and/or edit source materials;
  • Oversee the integrity of the sales funnel for the BDIs, including but not limited to utilizing a CRM system for data entry, record maintenance, and report preparation;
  • Provide guidance and support to regional marketing staff and proposal teams in strategy sessions, capture plans, and win theme/strategy development for proposals and qualification statements;
  • Provide leadership and support for industry or professional association project awards nominations, including researching and tracking applicable opportunities, and developing submittal packages;
  • Collaborate on the planning and execution of internal meetings and external conferences pertaining to the BDI;
  • Create, promote, and manage related internal collaboration sites;
  • Assist with content for online presence, including website and social media;
  • Work with technical teams to create compelling and informative content, demonstrating our position as thought leader;
  • Track, research, and evaluate conference and networking opportunities; define participation strategy; manage and coordinate representation at external conferences and events;
  • Work closely with technical leaders to support the BDI goals; and
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in marketing, business administration, journalism, communication, or related field with at least eight (8) years of experience in the A/E/C industry for a multi-disciplinary, multi-location firm; or equivalent combination of experience and education or training that provides the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the responsibilities of the position.   • Intermediate knowledge of the MS Office Products. (required)
  • Prior experience with a CRM software package. (preferred)
  • Must have the ability to manage individual workload and the workload of others including ability efficiently and effectively to appropriately prioritize with little supervision. (required)
  • Familiarity with technical writing standards. (preferred)
  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret marketing, technical, and other business documents. (required)
  • Ability to manage others in the execution of assignments and serve as a mentor to the next generation of marketing professionals. (required)
