General Description:

 

The Manager of Business Development & Marketing is responsible for identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, building and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders, and driving growth and diversity for Commonwealth Building.

Business Development Duties:

·         Identify and evaluate new business opportunities that align with Commonwealth Building's strategic goals.

·         Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including customers, design teams, third-party partners, and industry professionals.

·         Generate new leads through networking, market research, and prospecting.

·         Conduct market analysis to identify industry trends, areas for growth, and sector diversity.

·         Develop and manage the execution of strategic sales goals and business objectives.

·         Develop and implement strategies to expand the company's brand presence in the Architecture, Engineering, and Construction (AEC) industry.

·         Attend and participate in trade shows, industry events, and local chamber functions to stay informed about market conditions, promote the company’s brand, and establish and maintain key relationships.

·         Arrange and conduct business meetings with existing and potential customers.

·         Provide ongoing progress updates on new business development activities and key indicators to the leadership team.

·         Coordinate and manage the sales/proposal process with estimating, project management, and leadership teams.

·         Prepare sales presentations.

·         Collaborate closely with Pre-Construction teams to facilitate a successful RFP process.

·         Assist with the presentation of formal proposals.

·         Support customer negotiations to help secure contracts.

·         Request and review customer feedback and implement necessary action items.

Marketing Duties:

·         Identify and develop creative solutions to enhance RFP materials.

·         Provide collateral for business development and recruitment efforts.

·         Create customizable proposal templates that include team member resumes, references, project lists, and other relevant details.

·         Create and manage targeted marketing campaigns.

·         Develop content for corporate marketing and communication materials, including the website, press releases, social media, and presentations.

·         Monitor and analyze social media and website traffic.

·         Coordinate and manage portfolio photography for publication.

 

CRM Duties:

·         Develop and implement an onboarding process for new clients.

·         Set up workflows, automation, and best practices.

·         Customize CRM software to meet business development needs.

·         Update and maintain the customer database.

·         Enter and track all leads, pipeline activity, and potential work.

·         Manage all customer communications and meetings.

·         Update all opportunities from conception to completion.

·         Manage and track sales goals.

·         Build proposal templates for the RFP process.

·         Build, manage, and track proposals.

 

Qualifications:

·         Bachelor’s or master’s degree in business, marketing, or a related field.

·         3-5 years of experience in sales, lead generation, client relationship management, and strategic partnerships.

·         Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.

·         Strong ability to build and maintain relationships with both new and existing clients.

·         Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.

·         Capability to analyze market trends, identify opportunities, and develop effective strategies.
