Job description

Overview
Lutron has an immediate need for a Copywriting Manager within the Communications department at our Conshohocken PA office location. Our communications team translates the spirit of its identity into resonant stories for our customers, partners, and professionals. Rational, authentic, and elegant-the characteristics of our designs are made to reflect the qualities of our inventions and the experiences they create. We're seeking a strategic, detail-oriented Managing Editor to orchestrate our content creation process from concept to publication. You'll establish editorial calendars, ensure consistent quality across all platforms, and mentor writers while maintaining Lutron's distinctive voice. Working collaboratively with creative and marketing teams, you'll synthesize feedback, refine content strategy, and deliver communications that embody the excellence, design, and care that define our brand.
Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain editorial calendars across multiple platforms, projects, and campaigns
  • Oversee content creation workflow, ensuring quality and timely delivery
  • Guide writers in translating complex technical concepts into clear, compelling narratives
  • Edit materials for clarity, accuracy, consistency, and alignment with Lutron's voice and tones
  • Collaborate with design, marketing, and product teams to ensure unified messaging
  • Establish and enforce editorial standards and best practices
  • Identify opportunities to repurpose and optimize content across channels
  • Manage content review processes with stakeholders and subject matter experts
  • Conduct regular content audits and performance analyses
  • Foster and maintain a culture of creativity through the craft of feedback
  • Stay current with industry trends in content strategy and editorial management
  • Champion brand voice consistency across the organization

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree with minimum cumulative 3.00 GPA required
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in content strategy, editorial management/editorial processes, and/or managing writers required
  • Proven exceptional editing skills with meticulous attention to detail plus demonstrated ability to translate complex technical information required
  • Fluency with design and project management software (Workfront) preferred
