Job description


We're looking for a dynamic and forward-thinking Demand Generation Manager to join our growing team. This hybrid role is ideal for someone who thrives in top-of-funnel acquisition-building programs that drive awareness, capture new leads, and convert interest into marketing-qualified leads (MQLs). You'll partner closely with sales, inside sales, and marketing to launch always-on and campaign-based programs, optimize conversion across key entry points (ads, landing pages, forms, and email), and use AI and automation to increase performance, speed, and scale.
Location: This role supports Eastern and Central Time Zones, with a strong preference for candidates located in or near Chicago.
Top-of-Funnel Lead Generation (Acquisition)
ย  ย  ย  ย  ย Plan and execute top-of-funnel acquisition programs that grow net-new leads and MQL volume across priority segments and personas.
ย  ย  ย  ย  ย Work closely with inside sales to develop coordinated campaign and call efforts, leveraging AI tools to speed output and broaden reach.
ย  ย  ย  ย  ย Own lead generation motions across key channels (e.g., paid search/social, webinars/virtual events, and email), ensuring clear offers, strong CTA paths, and clean lead capture.
ย  ย  ย  ย  ย Optimize landing pages, forms, and conversion flows through A/B testing and AI-enabled creative/messaging variations to improve lead quality and cost per lead.
Campaign Planning, Nurture & Marketing Automation
ย  ย  ย  ย  ย Drive lead capture, qualification, and progression from inquiry to MQL/SQL, partnering with sales and sales administration on lead definitions, routing, and service-level agreements to improve lead quality and speed-to-lead.
ย  ย  ย  ย  ย Own campaign operations and calendars across channels, ensuring visibility to customer facing teams, strong cross-functional execution, QA, and on-time delivery.
ย  ย  ย  ย  ย Plan and build campaigns end-to-end, including segmentation, emails, landing pages/forms (as applicable), metadata tagging, nurture track development, and tracking setup.
ย  ย  ย  ย  ย Develop and optimize automated workflows for email, event follow-up, and lead scoring to improve conversion and pipeline velocity.
ย  ย  ย  ย  ย Partner with sales and product marketing to align messaging, improve conversion points, and create feedback loops that increase pipeline health and revenue impact.
AI-Driven Content & Efficiency
ย  ย  ย  ย  ย Leverage AI to accelerate campaign build cycles (e.g., audience and keyword insights, draft-to-variant content creation, and rapid personalization for email, social, landing pages, and event assets).
ย  ย  ย  ย  ย Automate repeatable paid and web operations (e.g., UTM governance, pixel/tag QA, landing-page checks, audience refreshes, and performance dashboards) to reduce manual work and increase throughput.
ย  ย  ย  ย  ย Design and govern experiments (A/B tests, holdouts, and creative/messaging tests) to quantify AI impact, establish guardrails, and ensure compliance with data privacy requirements and internal IS regulations.
ย  ย  ย  ย  ย Monitor the AI tool landscape; evaluate fit for our stack, pilot high-value use cases, and recommend adoption or retirement to modernize marketing operations.
Data & Performance Analytics
ย  ย  ย  ย  ย Build and maintain target campaign lists using internal tools (e.g., ZoomInfo, OSC, Eloqua), augmented data, and purchased lists when available.
ย  ย  ย  ย  ย Evaluate campaign performance by segment, persona, creative, and channel using Eloqua, social/paid analytics, and CRM data; synthesize insights that improve conversion and pipeline contribution.
ย  ย  ย  ย  ย Review funnel performance monthly and adjust promotional strategy as needed. Maintain a reporting cadence for key metrics (e.g., lead conversions, deal creation, and win/loss analysis).
Stakeholder Communication & Alignment
ย  ย  ย  ย  ย Align stakeholders on demand generation priorities, trade-offs, and next steps, turning performance insights into clear decisions and actions.
ย  ย  ย  ย  ย Align inside sales, sales, and marketing on target accounts, funnel stages, and follow-up motions to improve lead acceptance and conversion to opportunity.


Education Level:
ย  ย  ย  ย  ย Bachelor's degree in business, marketing or communications is required.ย 
ย  ย  ย  ย  ย MBA or MA in Integrated Marketing Communications a plus

Qualifications: ย 
ย  ย  ย  ย  ย Minimum 5 years' experience in a B2B demand generation role.ย 
ย  ย  ย  ย  ย Additional 1-3 years' experience in AI optimization a plus
ย  ย  ย  ย  ย Experience managing segmented campaign operations, including list building/hygiene, campaign setup and QA, and performance reporting.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND COMPETENCIESย 
ย  ย  ย  ย  ย Proficiency executing and optimizing B2B demand generation across paid media, web, email, social, and virtual events, with measurable impact on lead and pipeline outcomes.

ย  ย  ย  ย  ย Experience designing integrated programs and coordinating cross-channel plays with Sales and Inside Sales to improve alignment, handoffs, and pipeline creation.
ย  ย  ย  ย  ย Project management skills, including managing timelines, priorities, and stakeholders across concurrent campaigns; proficiency with tools such as Monday.com, Trello, or Asana preferred.
ย  ย  ย  ย  ย Proven copywriting and editing skills for ads, landing pages, and nurture/email communications.
ย  ย  ย  ย  ย Demonstrated cross-functional communication skills, with the ability to influence decisions and drive follow-through across Sales, Sales Operations, and Product Marketing.
ย  ย  ย  ย  ย Experience managing external agencies, including briefs, SLAs, budgets, deliverables, and performance feedback.
ย  ย  ย  ย  ย Working knowledge of marketing technology and web systems (marketing automation, CMS workflows, and basic HTML); experience with Eloqua and Sitecore XM Cloud preferred.
