This job is responsible for customer operations and business development duties in a team environment. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, daily communication with customers, including issue resolution, and facilitation across teams to help efficiently coordinate daily and weekly operations.

  • Researching prospects and entering all data into the CRM.
  • Ability to source qualified clients.
  • Understand and execute pricing methodology for all transportation modes.
  • Competent in quoting freight independently and quickly.
  • Communicate effectively across all groups.
  • Develop working relationship with business development group to transition enterprise accounts.
  • Submit annual budget for new sales and accounts.
  • Conduct annual business reviews for top clients.
  • Travel when needed to meet with clients and prospects (less than 10% of time).
  • Develop strategic relationships with all mid-level decision makers.
  • Review any bids prior to submitting.
  • Develop relationships with C-level decision makers.
  • Professionally represent organization to prospects, customers, carriers, and customer partners daily.

Here's what you'll need to be considered:
Education
Bachelor's degree preferred but not required.
Experience
Sales or transportation required.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Proficient computer skills, including working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Effective interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills with the ability to interact with all levels of people within and outside the organization.
  • Strong time management and organizational skills.
  • Understanding of the US markets and seasonality.
  • Understand terms and definitions of the transportation industry.

Physical Demands & Requirements
Sedentary work. Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally, and all other sedentary criteria are met.

The expected base pay range for this role is:
$80,000.00 - $125,000.00
Actual pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including work location, job-related knowledge, skills and relevant experience for the job. Pay amount does not guarantee employment for any particular period of time.
