Location: North Bay Hyundai
Department: Parts
Reports To: Parts Manager

Position Summary
The Parts Counter Person is responsible for assisting service technicians and retail customers with identifying, sourcing, and selling automotive parts and accessories for Hyundai vehicles. This role requires strong knowledge of automotive components, excellent customer service skills, and proficiency using the Dealertrack DMS to manage inventory, process orders, and maintain accurate records.
Key Responsibilities
  • Assist service technicians and retail customers in identifying correct Hyundai parts and accessories.
  • Look up parts using electronic catalogs and dealership systems.
  • Process parts orders, invoices, and returns using Dealertrack DMS.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records and ensure proper stock levels.
  • Receive and stock incoming parts shipments.
  • Pull and stage parts for service repair orders.
  • Handle customer inquiries via phone, email, and in person.
  • Process warranty parts and returns according to dealership and manufacturer guidelines.
  • Maintain a clean and organized parts department.
  • Work closely with the service department to ensure timely delivery of parts for vehicle repairs.
  • Promote additional parts and accessories when appropriate.
Qualifications
  • Previous automotive parts experience preferred (dealership experience is a plus).
  • Familiarity with Hyundai parts catalogs and systems is desirable.
  • Experience using Dealertrack DMS or other dealership management systems.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced dealership environment.
  • Basic computer skills and inventory management experience.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Standing and walking for extended periods.
  • Frequent bending, reaching, and carrying parts.
