Job description

Maintain data repositories
Manage, monitor, administer database system and performance activities
Plan for transition of the development and/or production environment to new technology
Install upgrades and critical patch updates as they become available on both the test and production environments
Support database development and implementation by participating in pilot testing and providing information on changes required in the database
Ensure that proposed object definitions are clear, concise, and technically correct, and that they represent singular concepts
Modify and customize commercial programs for internal needs
Test all database changes in the test environment prior to deploying the changes to the production environment
Design, develop, analyze, evaluate and install Oracle databases to include database modeling and design, relational database architecture, metadata and repository creation and configuration management.
Use data mapping, data mining and data transformational analysis tools to design and develop databases.
Determine data storage and optimum storage requirements.
Prepare system requirements, source analysis and process analyses and design throughout the database implementation.
Work with Software Engineering team to ensure optimum performance and design for system performance.
