Responsibilities:
• Responsible for the database development and maintenance for assigned area.
• Approves proposed project plans and database designs to ensure projects area aligned with standards and IT strategy.
• Allocates appropriate resources to ensure that projects are completed within committed time and budget and are integrated with other database systems.
• Approves database analysis and development policies, standards and procedures.
• Manages the coordination and facilitates the design, implementation and control of data management concepts and techniques.
• Makes recommendation's on data base development in assigned areas.
• Analyzes long term requirements of data base administration and design to meet current and future business needs.
Qualifications:
Required:
• Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience
• Five to eight years of related experience in database and information systems environments
Preferred:
• Thorough knowledge of database systems and technology, especially industry specific applications
• Thorough technical and business knowledge of the business units supported, including organization policies and procedures
• Strong analytical, project management and tactical planning skills
• Demonstrated management and leadership skills
• Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
