Job description

Clerk- Data Processing (Middle School)

Reports to: Principal

Pay Grade: Clerical Pay 3

Days: 227

Primary Purpose

To assist other school personnel in maintaining accurate student records.

Qualifications

Education/Certification:

  • High School Diploma or GED from an accredited HS or GED Program

Special Knowledge Skills:

  • Skill as a typist.
Major Responsibilities and Duties
  • Assist in maintaining student records, PEIMS, etc.
  • Assist in developing forms/plans for educational planning.
  • Assist with balancing reports and keying updates.
  • Willing to keep updated with technology; review teacher grade sheets for completeness and prepare for processing.
  • Keep work on schedule with published due dates.
  • Review computer printouts and make corrections where needed.
  • Maintain files/correspondence for ISD/Vice Principal/Principal.
  • Answer questions asked by teachers and other school personnel relating to data processing
  • Distribute reports, instructional and other materials as they relate to data processing.
  • Pull records on students for special programs as directed.
  • Other duties as assigned by the Principal and/or Instructional Services Director.
Working Conditions

Maintain emotional control under stress. Frequent districtwide and statewide travel; occasional prolonged or irregular hours.
