Description
Key Responsibilities/Essential Functions
Develop and implement policies and best practices for gift processing, data management, reporting,
and analysis.
Supervise and mentor Development Operations Specialists, Coordinator, and Gift Specialist to ensure
accurate donor data and updated workflows.
Identify and recommend improvements and automation in database processes.
Oversee gift processing, acknowledgements, financial tracking, projections, and compliance.
Create and maintain policies for gift acceptance, data entry, audits, and fundraising operations (e.g.,
Standard Operating Procedures).
Collaborate with the Director of Data Management on donor information systems and technology
solutions to support fundraising goals.
Oversee creation of regular reports for fundraising staff, finance, and leadership.
Ensure accurate processing of constituent information from various sources.
Manage timely and accurate entry of all charitable gifts and pledges, including checks, securities,
gifts-in-kind, matching gifts, credit card imports, grants, online giving, donor-advised funds, wires,
bequests, and restricted gifts.
Maintain overall database integrity through routine audits, data improvement, and system checks.
Identify opportunities for system integration, reduced data entry, and cross-department
collaboration.
Requirements
Knowledge of legal accounting and auditing related to fundraising and donor data.
Experience with fundraising CRM platforms and/or association management software.
Strong quantitative, analytical, and data research skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Word.
Ability to manage multiple complex projects with attention to detail under tight deadlines.
Strategic thinker who can translate high-level goals into actionable steps.
Problem solver comfortable with ambiguity and quick changes.
Strong teamwork, collaboration, and communication skills (verbal and written).
Creative and willing to try new methods for problem-solving.
Hybrid expected to work in-office 2-3 days per week, with possible changes to full-time in-office
