The Opportunity:
As the eDiscovery Data Processing Manager, you will lead and mentor a team of 4-5 processing specialists, driving workflow excellence and innovation. In this role, you will research, propose, and implement new processing workflows to support emerging data sources, including short-message data. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to meet input and output requirements, while performing analysis, development, and execution of processing approaches for a wide range of electronic files. You will also occasionally consult with litigation project managers and internal support staff on best practices for meeting ESI specifications, and participate in internal and case team discussions on new technology and evolving industry standards.
Responsibilities:
  • Able to look for process improvements to both automated and manual processes that improve efficiency, are scalable, and auditable.
  • Able to improve and enhance the use of NUIX profile(s) that are compatible with forensic images.
  • Perform periodic reviews of deNIST and exclusion lists.
  • Perform periodic quality control reviews of manual and automated processes.
  • Able to enhance reporting and gather stats for the various stages in the processing pipeline.
  • Responsible for implementing and executing processing workflows to transform all forms of unstructured data into a reviewable, load-ready format.
  • Ensure timely and accurate completion of tasks.
  • Delegate and oversee tasks as needed.
  • Perform hands-on processing, independently, or as necessary.
  • Responsible for keeping the program case teams informed on activities, deadlines, and technical challenges.

  • Consults with attorneys and support staff on best practices for conforming to ESI specifications.
  • Assist in developing collection protocol for short-message format, O365, and other types of new formats to adhere to processing guidelines, COTS product support and compatibility, and provide the best reviewer experience of processed data.
  • Responsible for ensuring that incoming productions are made pursuant to the applicable ESI specifications and when deficiencies are found, provides case attorney with detailed notice of deficiencies.
  • Work with project managers to ensure high client satisfaction.
  • Provide management with reoccurring status updates on short and long term initiatives.
  • Maintain a positive working relationship with internal business and technical personnel.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve application system and/or software problems. Liaise with COTS vendors to identify and resolve bugs and issues.
  • Own and maintain processing workflow. Track and document changes. Drive continual improvement of processes and workflows.
  • Evaluate new tools to handle key tasks and work with technical staff to implement workflow improvements wherever possible.

Qualifications:
Required:
  • 6 to 8 years of related project support, eDiscovery, or management experience including 1 to 3 years of supervisory/management experience.
  • Requires bachelor's degree or equivalent, Sufficient experience in lieu of a degree can be approved by PMO.
  • Experience with NUIX and Relativity processing engines.
  • Ability to analyze and perform data processing using Discovery tools (NUIX, Relativity).
  • Ability to understand collecting, processing, reviewing, and producing electronic information.
  • Ability to manage electronic discovery projects.
  • Ability to ensure the proper data was collected.

Desired:
  • Relativity Certified Administrator.
  • NUIX Workstation Data Discovery certified.
  • Familiar with NUIX Neo and NUIX Automate.
  • Familiar with Message Crawler.

There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications.
